911 GT3 RS
997.1 Generation (2007 - 2008) | Type 850

The Porsche 911 GT3 RS 997.1 was announced in early 2006 as a homologation version of the GT3 RSR racing car for competition events like Sebring and the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The drivetrain of the RS is based on the 997.1 911 GT3, except for the addition of a lightweight flywheel and closer gear ratios for further improved response under acceleration. It's 3.6-liter flat-6 capable of producing out 415 bhp and 300 lb.-ft. of torque. It was only available with a 6-speed manual with slightly taller gearing in the lower ratios to take advantage of the car's higher 8400-rpm redline.
